We survived

Gosh, I don't even know where last week went. Annamarie and I were sick all week. What a waste of a week! Thursday was the worst for me, I even was running a fever. I called Steve at work, crying, because I just wanted to lay down, but if any other SAHM understands, we don't get sick days. It's especially hard right now, with a 2.5 year old who wants something new every 5 minutes. Get her a pickle and then she wants a carrot. Then she wants something new to drink. Then she wants a movie. Then she wants a book to read. and on, and on, and on.

That is the only thing I miss about staying home with her and working at home. I cannot take a sick day. She was sick as well, although getting better, so I didn't want to ask someone else to watch her, in case she was still able to get others sick too.

Thankfully we are mostly better now. Although I did nothing last week and now I feel all behind.

My basket for our church festival is due today and I haven't even sewn the baby blanket for it. That, and schools are closed because of the negative temps. Does that mean the church office is closed too? I suppose I should call.... Does anyone else hate calling places as much as I do? I wonder if kids these days hate talking on the phone too, would rather text?

So, enough blogging. I really need to get sewing.

  1. "Does anyone else hate calling places as much as I do?" The answer is a resounding YES. :) I'm glad you're feeling better, Allison!

  2. Glad you're all feeling better! Hope you get caught up, is there anyone who could watch her for a while so you could work uninterrupted now that she's better?
